Diesel fuel rose again for the second consecutive week, to $3.89 a gallon, up by 2.4 cents, as reported by the Dept of Energy. Diesel had declined for the 10 weeks pioir to the recent increase as much as 31.4 cents during that time. Despite the increase, it is no 6.6 cents below the same time last year.

Diesel rose across all regions, with the largest gain in the West-coast rarea, where it rose by 3.9 cents.
