National average prices for diesel are running at $3.801 a gallon as of October 20th. They rose 8 cents alone in the week ending on October 17th. This is the fatest pace they have risen in 28 weeks as crude oil prices have dropped due to concerns over the European debt crisis. Who knew! The Euro debt crisis’ tentacles reach all the way across the Atlantic and hit our freight factoring clients.

The Northeast US is somehow weathering this storm. They are the only region to not see any price increases yet. The lower Atlantic region on the East Coast has seen the greatest increase. Up a hard 8.7 cents a gallon. Go figure!

But we are here to help you out. Our fuel advance program can help you curve some of those diesel costs.
